Who We Are?

The Surendra Hearing Clinic of Pune was established in 2007 by Audiologist Surendra. As the first private practice audiology and Speech clinic in Western Pune, he could see the need for a clinic that would provide quality hearing health care. Prior to opening the private audiology clinic in Western Pune, Surendra had worked at the audiology departments at the Ruby Hall Hospital, Private ENT Hospital, and one of the Multinational hearing aid Manufacturer company (WIDEX). He also worked briefly for the few private hearing clinic in Pune. This variety of employment opportunities made the move to private practice a logical transition.

When the clinic first opened, we were very grateful to our clients who referred their family and friends for audiology services. The clinic continues to rely on word of mouth and physician referral. Ensuring client satisfaction is a constant goal. Our emphasis continues to be a combination of diagnostic hearing assessments, treatment with quality hearing aids, counselling, hearing aid maintenance and adjustments, as well as providing assistive listening devices and batteries and personalised international standards of hearing care to our clients.

In addition, our clinic feels that well-maintained hearing aids provide the best auditory and hearing input to the patient. With this said, we ask that all patients come in to our clinic on a routine basis for cleanings & maintenance. This is done at no charge to our patients.

We don’t treat ears, we treat the brain. It is the brain that processes and makes sense of the sound transmitted from your ears. Inadequate auditory stimulation to the brain causes physical (loss of brain tissue and brain shrinkage) and processing (inability to understand clearly) deterioration.
