As the first private practice audiology and Speech clinic in Western Pune, he could see the need for a clinic that would provide quality hearing health care. Prior to opening the private audiology clinic in Western Pune, Surendra had worked at the audiology departments at the Ruby Hall Hospital, Private ENT Hospital, and one of the Multinational hearing aid Manufacturer company (WIDEX). He also worked briefly for the few private hearing clinic in Pune. This variety of employment opportunities made the move to private practice a logical transition.
